Project Date

In 2014 the artist Maha Mustafa, whom I have worked with extensively was commissioned by Malmo City to design the public space of Malmo’s new town square in Sweden named after Dag Hammarskjold. Dedicated to the former Swedish UN Secretary-General the square is located amongst a new entertainment and concert hall district that embraces the expanding diverse culture along the extension of the city. The project involved the design and manufacturing of an 8m steel sculpture, an interactive fountain and 25m long curved bench made from local granite.
