Tara Bissett

Adjunct Professor

Tara Bissett is an architectural and urban historian. She completed her PhD in architectural history at the University of Toronto where she specialized in the history of craft and ornament. Tara has taught several courses in the cultural history stream, including From Renaissance to Reformation, Modern Architecture, Contemporary Architectural Theory, and Architecture and Media. Her current research continues to explore the relationships between craft culture, labour communities, and informal urbanism. As a member of the department’s Racial Equity and Environmental Justice Task Force, Tara is passionate about bringing issues of equity to the fore in her research, the classroom, and the School in general.
